Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme,
This week my teaser comes from:
Lessons in Disaster, by Gordon M. Goldstein, a fascinating non-fiction book about the Vietnam War and the role the U. S. national security adviser McGeorge Bundy played.
"Kennedy didn't want to be dumb," he said. "Johnson didn't want to be a coward." McGeorge Bundy(page 3)

Definitely sounds like a man of opinions. I hope you are enjoying the book. Mine is from The God of the Hive by Laurie R. King. Happy reading!
Great teaser! I wanna check it out.
Here is my Teaser Tuesday: The Tale of Halcyon Crane!
I think this is the first teaser I've ever seen for a non-fiction book. Interesting!
Way to sum up two administrations in two sentences! My Vietnam class was one of my favorites in college, but the final exam was not: "Summarize the Vietnam Conflict". I filled up two blue books with my response!
I hope you enjoy this! Thanks for stopping by my blog, too. :)
The Vietnam war will always be an ongoing issue for the number of governmental faux pas, now we're living it through Afghanistan. Great teaser and this sounds like it's going to a great lesson in history from Goldstein's research.
I don't normally read non-fict but this might be the exception. There is something about war time and the people living through it that fascinates me. Hope you are enjoying the book.
Ha...great teaser! I really should read more about American history, especially the wars my grandfather fought in. Just not enough time in the day!
I hope you're enjoying it!
Here is my Teaser Tuesday!
That's a nice teaser for a non-fiction!

Kathy..It's a fabulous book and part of my Vietnam Challenge.
Ladytink...You could be right. I thought it was different. :)
Lady Q...That was a broad topic...2 blue books ....ick... I'm glad I'm done with that..at least for now. Who knows though, I love school, especially history.
Clare...I am...thanks for stopping by.
Aisle B..You are so right. I read In Retrospect for a history course years ago. That was similar to this one and I loved McNamara's book also.
Kaye...This is a very good analysis of administration and the misdirection that occurred.
Amy..thanks...I am enjoying this one. It was actually one that Obama was recently reading.
Alice...Thanks!
